Half a String's Outreach Pledge Over the Next
​5 years...

Over the next 5 years Half a String aims to connect with communities further and become a community leader. To do this we aim to inspire and connect people, institutions, schools and arts centers together to see a lasting impact of projects.

Below are 3 main focuses for Half a String over the next 5 years:

​1. Community 

We will listen and creatively respond to the needs of the local community in which we work. We will create outreach work that engages with the community and allows them to see themselves as part of our work.

​2 . Connection

We will create work that can be connected to a school’s curriculum and upskill teachers' creative practice. We will provide opportunities for teachers/lecturers/community leaders to connect to their professional peers and share best practice to raise outcomes for all.

​3. Conservation 

We will create outreach work that provides opportunities for participants to be outside and explore their natural surroundings. We will tackle themes of environmentalism and sustainability in our work, acknowledging the importance in our current climate to do so. We will seek to find ways to work in a way that aligns with our environmental policies.
